Entrevista Exclusiva com RICK WORTHY (Vampiro Alfa de Supernatural)!!!

Venho agora, com o mais imenso prazer, apresentar-lhes uma entrevista exclusiva que fiz com Rick Worthy, nosso adorado e jamais esquecido Vampiro Alfa em Supernatural……. Rick foi super amável e sem pensar 2 vezes, aceitou esse pedido de entrevista! Para quem o conhece, sabe o quão amigável e maravilhoso ele é com os fãs através das Convenções, Facebook e Twitter!!!

Desde já e mais uma vez, nós do WinchesterHome agradecemos mais uma vez a Rick por essa oportunidade…… Confira curiosidades, scoops e mais…..

Bom, sem mais demora………

1- When was your first appearence on TV? What show?

RICK: My first appearance on Television was a dance contest show called “Dance Fever”..this was 1985…Looonng time ago! I was 18 and my brother Tim was 19, and we were breakdancers. Dance Fever toured the country, much like American Idol, looking for dance contestants, and my brother called me up and said “We gotta try out for Dance Fever!”..so we did, and we were selected. They flew us to Hollywood and we were on the show. One day I will show you the tape Dahhhhhhlllllllllliiiinnggggg!!!!! Hahahaaa.:))

2- How was when you knew you would be playing a Vampire on Supernatural?? Did you inspire on any other character to play your role?

RICK: I actually had auditioned to play Crowley, and a couple other characters over the years…I honestly didn’t think Supernatural wanted to hire me…but then the Alpha Vampyre role came up…and I knew it would be a great role for whoever they selected..and thank God they selected me! ;)) The Vampyre role has been done hundreds of times on film and television and stage…I wanted to do it as uniquely as I possibly could…I found my own interpretation of him….I was scared initially because it had been done so many times before….but I’m very pleased with what I did. Hopefully they will bring me back to do more on the show. 😉

3 – We all know that Jensen and Jared love to play pranks on their cast peeps….. Did you witness any of those moments?? How’s your interaction with them?

RICK: Hahaa, I actually didn’t witness any pranks, but I could clearly see they like to have a good time on the set…and I tremendously respect both of them for setting a nice tone for the set…It always starts from the top actors on down to everyone else. I love the feeling of being on set with them and their fabulous and extremely talented crew.

4 – The Alpha Vampire was an important figure to the Supernatural story, after all, it was him who created the Vampire species… We’ve seen through seasons all the bad vamp type, but now, we have Benny! In your opinion, according to the show, do you think there are good Vampires, besides Benny or they are all bad creatures?

RICK:  I don’t think the Alpha Vampyre sees himself as “bad”…he’s a guy who’s been around for tens of thousands of years…He’s ancient, truly ancient. And he has needs…human blood being one of them….I didn’t play him as if he were bad or evil…just someone who has his needs. I like Benny…there’s a certain kind of reluctance of being a Vampyre that Ty plays very well…like he didn’t quite ask for this way of life…but yet here Benny is, a member of the Vampyre race. I like that Dean feels he can trust Benny.

5 – What was your favorite scene/moment on Supernatural??

RICK:  I have a few…but I love the episode “There Will Be Blood”…it had a real “Godfather” (the film) sort of feel to it when the Boys are brought to stand before the Alpha…the Alpha is in that scene very much like “Don Corleone” in the Godfather…when the Boys tell him Dick Roman and Edgar are out to double-cross him…there’s a really wonderful moment of the Alpha Vamp questioning and re-thinking his loyalties to others and who he can trust and not trust…Of course he soon discovers Edgar has been sent by Dick Roman to kill the Alpha…and this turns the tides in a completely different direction.

6- A lot of SPN fans also love The Vampire Diaries, and for our happiness, you are there as Mystic Falls Mayor! How is it to work with them?

RICK: Oh thank you! It’s really fun..everybody is great to work with, and I love filming in Atlanta, Georgia, home of #DragonCon. It’s also wonderful to play a parent of a teenage daughter…Kat Graham is awesome, and I believe we work really well together. ;))

7- Any scoops on the Mayor for the next season?? Can we expect to see you back?

RICK: No spoilers!! But yes, I will be returning next season.

8- You are working on a new project called “The Vigilante Project”….Can you tell us more about it?

RICK: Sure, Vigilante Project is a graphic novel written and produced by Chris Dickens and Phil Morgenthaler about a young man who becomes a self-taught vigilante in order to go rescue his kidnapped baby sister. The project is expected to be developed as a Television pilot in the near future. More information can be found at: vigilanteproject.com and on Twitter. ;))

9- Back to the SPN context, you have been attending to a lot of Cons! How’s the experience to interact directly with your fans and to know their opinions about the show? How did the Fandom first received you as being one of the most powerful characters on the show?

RICK: I’ve been having a wonderful time meeting the fans of the show! I love meeting people and hearing what people have to say. It’s really gratifying, and I love the connections that can be made with people. I’m usually the last one to leave a Con because I’m probably doing tequila shots or out on the dance floor with people! That’s just how I am. People fascinate me. :))

10- And we, Brazilian fans, would love to meet you here soon! Any plans on visiting us? We gotta get you on a Con….. ;))

RICK: Hmmmmm….Well dahhhhhhhhllllllinnnnngggggggggggg….You know I’d love to come to a Con in Brazil…I truly would. But it looks like that won’t happen this year…But…who knows…..maybe I will sneak in on a certain Vampyre’s panel……Hahahahahaaaaa…;)))))

1 – Quando foi sua primeira aparição na TV?? Qual show?

RICK: Minha primeira aparição na Televisão foi em uma competição de dança chamada “Dance Fever”.. isso foi em 1985…Há muito tempo atrás! Eu tinha 18 anos e meu irmão Tim 19, e nós éramos muito bons. Dance Fever percorreu o país, assim como American Idol, procurando por concorrentes dançarinos, e meu irmão me chamou e disse “Nós temos de tentar entrar em Dance Fever!”.. então nós fomos, e fomos selecionados. Eles nos levaram à Hollywood e então estávamos no show. Um dia eu te mostro o vídeo Dahhhhhhlllllllllliiiinnggggg!!!!! Hahahaaa.:)

2 – Como foi quando você soube que você interpretaria um Vampiro em Supernatural? Você se inspirou em algum outro personagem para atuar seu papel?

RICK: Na verdade eu fiz o teste para interpretar Crowley, e alguns outros personagens ao longo dos anos… Eu honestamente não pensei que Supernatural queria me contratar…mas então o papel do Vampiro Alfa apareceu…e eu sabia que seria um grande papel para quem quer que eles contratassem.. e graças a Deus eles me selecionaram! ;)) O papel de Vampiro vem sendo feito muitas vezes em filmes e televisão e palco…Eu queria fazer meu papel fosse o quanto mais único eu pudesse fazer… Eu encontrei minha própria interpretação para ele… Eu fiquei assustado no começo porque esse papel já foi feito antes, tantas vezes….mas eu estou muito contente com o que eu fiz. Espero que eles possam me trazer de volta para fazer mais nesse show. 😉

3 – Todos nós sabemos que Jensen e Jared gostam de “pregar peças” nos seus companheiros de elenco… Você testemunhou algum desses momentos? Como é sua interação com eles?

RICK: Hahaa, eu na verdade não testemunhei nenhuma das bagunças, mas eu pude ver com clareza que eles gostam de se divertir no set… e eu os respeito tremendamente por trazerem um tom agradável para o set… isso sempre começa a partir dos atores principais e, para todos os outros. Eu amo estar no set com eles com uma equipe fabulosa e talentosa.

4 – O Vampiro Alfa foi uma figura importante para a história de Supernatural, afinal, foi ele quem criou a espécie dos Vampiros … Temos visto através das temporadas todo o tipo de vampiro mau, mas agora, temos Benny! Na sua opinião, de acordo com o show, você acha que há bons vampiros, além de Benny, ou são todos criaturas más?

 RICK: Eu não acho que o Vampiro Alfa se vê como “mau”…ele é um cara que está por aqui por dezenas de milhares de anos…Ele é antigo, realmente antigo. E ele tem necessidades…sangue humano como sendo uma delas… Eu não o interpretei como se ele fosse ruim ou mau…só como alguém que tem necessidades. Eu gosto de Benny…há uma certa relutância de ser um Vampiro que Ty atua muito bem…como se ele nunca tivesse pedido por esse tipo de vida…mas Benny está aqui, um membro da raça dos Vampiros. Eu gosto do jeito que Dean sente que pode confiar em Benny.

5 – Qual foi seu momento/cena preferida em Supernatural?

RICK: Eu tenho algumas…mas eu amo o episódio “There Will Be Blood”…. teve um sentimento tipo “Godfather” (o filme) quando os garotos foram trazidos perante o Alfa… O Alfa é naquela cena muito parecido com “Don Corleone” no filme Godfather…quando os meninos contam a ele que Dick Roman e Edgar estão juntos para trapaceá-lo…há um maravilhoso momento do Vampiro Alfa questionando e repensando sua lealdade com outros e em quem ele pode ou não pode confiar… Claro que logo ele descobre que Edgar foi mandado por Dick Roman para matar o Alfa… e isso faz com que a maré vire em uma direção completamente diferente.

6 – A maioria dos fãs de SPN também adoram The Vampire Diaries, e para nossa felicidade, você está lá como o prefeito de Mystic Falls! Como é trabalhar com eles?

 RICK: Oh Obrigado! É realmente muito divertido, todos são ótimos para trabalhar, e eu amo gravar em Atlanta, Georgia, lar da #DragonCon. É também maravilhoso interpretar o pai de uma filha adolescente… Kat Graham é maravilhosa, e eu acredito que trabalhamos muito bem juntos. ;))

7 – Algum spoiler sobre o prefeito para a próxima temporada? Podemos esperar vê-lo de volta?

RICK: Sem spoilers!! Mas sim, eu estarei de volta na próxima temporada.

8 – Você está trabalhando em um novo projeto chamado “The Vigilante Project” …. Você pode nos dizer mais sobre ele?

RICK: Claro. Vigilante Project é uma história gráfica (história em quadrinho) escrito e produzido por Chris Dickens e Phil Morgenthaler sobre um jovem homem que se torna um auto-aprendiz vigilante com o propósito de resgatar sua irmã mais nova que foi seqüestrada. O projeto é esperado para ser desenvolvido como um Piloto para a Televisão em um futuro próximo. Mais informações podem ser encontradas no site vigilanteproject.com  e no Twitter. ;))

9 – E voltando para o contexto SPN, você tem atendido a várias Convenções! Como é a experiência de interagir diretamente com seus fãs e conhecer as suas opiniões sobre o show? Como foi que o Fandom primeiramente o recebeu como sendo um dos personagens mais poderosos no show?

 RICK: Eu venho tendo momentos maravilhoso conhecendo os fãs do show! Eu amo conhecer as pessoas e escutar o que elas tem a dizer. É muito gratificante, e eu amo as conexões que podem ser feitas com as pessoas. Eu normalmente sou o último a deixar uma Convenção porque provavelmente, eu estou tomando umas doses de tequila ou dançando na pista com elas! É assim que eu sou. As pessoas me fascinam. :))

10. E nós, fãs brasileiros, gostaríamos de conhecê-lo em breve! Algum plano para nos visitar? Temos que levá-lo em uma Con …..

RICK: Hmmmmm….Bem dahhhhhhhhllllllinnnnngggggggggggg…. Você sabe que eu amaria participar de uma Con no Brasil…Eu realmente amaria. Mas aparentemente isso não irá acontecer esse ano…Mas…quem sabe…..talvez eu me deslizo no painel de um certo Vampiro……Hahahahahaaaaa…;)))))
